Fighters dont retire from the ring, the ring retires fighters.............

"Fighters dont retire from the ring, the ring retires fighters" Bernard Hopkins, great quote i thought.

I mean i always hear Mayweather talking about how Boxing wont retire him, yet here is a guy who throws money around like confetti, and is embroiled in this flashy image he likes to portray, infact i would put money on it Mayweather will be fighting into his mid to late 30's, looking to make a buck, possibly losing for the first time cause of his age.

Therefore this quote generally rings true imo.

Very true Roy Jones is prime example right now.Joe Calzaghe is an exception though i feel he was right to aswell people would have wanted him to fight til he lost

Yep, and you could even say that based on Joe's two KD's against Jones/Hopkins, that he might of been slipping, and that, may have factored into his decision.

Your premise doesn't make much sense. Your assumption is floyd has no money. If this was the case he'd have to fight more now. I think floyd will fight until he doesn't want to anymore. But don't be so foolish to believe he needs money.

RJJ should've stayed at HW, or at least at CW.

Calz was already on the way out, that's why he fought senior citizens.
