The same could be said with our boy Mayweather. Only instead of the media projecting a fake image it's Mayweather himself. The guy is always humble after fights but puts on a front just to sell himself. And I'm his biggest fan.

The difference with Leonard and De La Hoya is that Leonard won all his big fights while Oscar lost them all.

I have no problem with what Mayweather does to hype his fights. Fact is for all the BS we see on TV dude trains hard, studys his craft, and is 100% focused and dedicated to boxing. That wasn't selling any seats so he switched it up.

Leonard was protected by the media and the establishment. he was a coke fiend who multiple times beat his wife. We knew when floyd and his girlfriend got into arguments and disputes. Leonard beat Juanita often. We just didn't hear about it until after he stopped generating revenue. Think if floyd sniffed coke we'd know about it?

ODH is the same thing. He and the media kept his out of wedlock son out of the news for fear of ruining his image.For a man to only embrace the children he has when married just to help keep the money up is disgusting.

They ALL used the media to sell their fights. Just in different ways. Can't knock anyone for their hustle. If the media making Leonard look like a good guy sells fights, so be it. If Mayweather wants to use the media to paint himself bad to sell fights, then so be it. Whatever works.

I guess we'll agree to disagree. I see no gray areas. I don't see them being different. All I see is two talented guys trying to make money the best way they know how.

Then again, I have no moral scruples and am a borderline sociopath.
