    Vitali's legacy

I rarely post here, but more often I see that peeps around here dont give respect to Big Vit, even calling him paper champ??

Back at his days, he was 2 times amateur and 4 times as a pro Kick-boxing World champ. Right after his last kick-b tournament he went to amateur World Boxing Championship where he took silver and at the same year won gold in World Military boxing tournament (btw where he quit against Maskaev, in order to heal and continue next matches.) On top of that this mother****er is well educated, holds PhD, plays chess, plays big role in politics and I never heard any BS and disrespect coming from his mouth towards his opponents.

In 2003 him and Lewis made one of the excitest fights of that year, where Vitali lost. He never showed weakness and he wasnt scared of Lewis. he was beggin Lewis for rematch, but we know what happened. would Lewis win a rematch again or not? idk.. but he didn't risk and retire, which was a smart move.

In his professional career he hardly lost a round, almost always was ahead on scorecards and more importantly never was knocked Down. Now he is almost 40 years old, and still makes fighters look like nothing, made best American prospect cry after the fight, and all this comes from a 3 years lay off.

To me he is more than a boxer, he is my idol, im not gonna lie. He is going to retire by the end of this year, and 1 of the fights that boxing fans wanted to see him vs David, not going to happen. too many chances old Vit knocks the **** out David eh?? and David knows that, so Vitali vs Briggs.. not very good end for him..

I don't even call names weak boxers, or boxers that I don't like. I only hate bs and loudmoths sportsmen, but some of you disrespect Vitali and say so much nonsense bout him.

I wonder who would own if this guy wouldnt even be in heavyweight division.. guys like Dimitrenko, Chagaev, Arreola would switch back and force.. the only decent guy there now is Chambers (not talking about wlad).

Anyways, I give props to Vitali, me and true boxing fans gonna miss him.

    * Vitali has never been behind on the score cards, even in the Byrd and Lewis fights.

Aside from that i completely agree.

When you grow up you want to dominate a watered-down division nobody cares about?

Tis a shame that most of his fans on here aren't as classy as Vitali is.

iv heard that repeated before on here but i think it was a misunderstanding due to his accent. I'm almost 100% sure that he said he didn't or wasn't looking to break Foreman's record for oldest HW champ ever.

I just looked it up and you are right

He said "I'm 38, I'm not the youngest in the heavyweight division and I don't want to break the record of George Foreman but I feel very good and I feel like I'm 25."

                    My mistake
