Like Roberto Duran going up against SRL, 71-1. He would get 30 more wins, but 1 defeat would be thrown in. 71-1 is a lot better than 40-0 IMO.

But maybe Mayweathers undefeated record is all he wants? It doesn't guarantee greatness IMO though. Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard, Duran, Robinson have all tasted defeat, but are great boxers.

numbers are just number, if your 71-1 and you only fought like 10 or 20 good high profile names then your record could have been 40-0 too just by removing that tomato cans from your list..

no disrespect to Duran or Chavez because they were truly 2 of Boxing's all time greats but they did fight A LOT of stay busy fights against cans, had they not fought those stay busy fights against lesser opponents their records wouldn't have been so numerically unbelievable
