i've read this fight is dead unless HBO agree to up their offer..This fight needs to happen for any chance for a fighter to be the undisputed lightweight champ.

HBO is probably dying to make the fight that weekend. January 29th is one of the biggest weekends that the sport can have due to the off week of the Super Bowl and nothing else really going on. Get the fight done and if I was Tim I'd want the fight in St Louis because it would make the most money. If they fight in New Orleans it will probably be in a 5,000 seat arena. Swallow the pride and put it in the hockey arena.

Put this fight in Dallas a week before the Super Bowl. No way it could be held at Cowboys Stadium or American Airlines Arena (Mavs have a home game that Saturday night) but put this fight at SMU's gymnasium or some other local arena. With Don King promoting it locally down there with the huge Super Bowl crowds and the Texas boxing fans it could end up being an excellent night for the sport...

I think both guys want HBO to offer what they think they are worth, but Alexander is putting up some quirky behavior that makes me think this fight is gonna fall apart.
