Toney is going to be out of his element. He has a punchers chance but kicks and takedowns come from another angle that he has to react to.

Boxers have a bigger chance of winning in the MMA than a UFC fighter in the boxing ring. 90% of KOes in MMA is made by a punch.

If Toney can defend the take down, like Chuck Liddell, he has a chance. When is the last time you saw Liddell take someone out with a submission? He's been getting away with relying on his stand-up game for a long time, because he has a great take down defense.

just like 9/10 of these amatuer wrestlers...eeer mma fighters would not be

able to cross over to even kickboxing or muay tai...

the problem here is that toney is waaaaaaaaaaaaay past his prime, 40 lbs overweight

and out of shape, and even worse punch drunk...his slurring and speech is

            horrible, absolutely horrible.

i like dana white but i am disappointed in him putting this fight on

6 years ago toney would have a good chance. now he is damaged and over the hill.

go to espn and watch him training mma hittin the pads, he is slow, lumbering and his range of motion far deteriorated...

i do hope he can stay on the outside and land some good strikes thou

good point, sylvia was still in his prime to. had beat good fighters and withstood some good punchers as well in mma.

however, one shot from mercer and sylvia collapsed like a building

hope toney has been practicing using those knees to catch randy coming in

Yeah but he trained for years and years and years. He didn't just have 9 months of training and jumped right in the wring with an olyimpic wrestler.

And Chuck Liddell was also a collage wrestler as well as a champion kickboxer.

Who do you think is going to win the WWE guys or the guys from NXT? Its the same question. Whoever the writers pick. I dont get why we are talking about MMA like its real.

It's surprising to see Hopkins still being respectful towards Toney but it just goes to show you who has manners and who doesn't.

Hopkins also has a thing called discipline which Toney doesn't understand of either.
