and the thing is maybe if Wladimir had more consistent better comp he himself could have been even better. I just don't think his chin allows him to hang with these type of quality Heavyweights that pack power, heart and the will to win that is lacking in the current group. Maybe David Haye in a few years will break through and look like he belongs but that is to be seen also.
I think Jim Lampley or one of the HBO commentators said it during the Klitschko Mercer match when Wlad knocked Ray down. Said something like, "It's the first time Mercer's been dropped with a head shot." And then later: "Holyfield dropped Mercer with a bodyshot." Which is nonsense when you look at the video, and also puts a nonsense to the idea that Holyfield wasn't a great puncher.
