Honestly, yes. His fights were always a huge spectacle. But if he was still fighting, I would be one of those guys begging for his retirement.

He looked about 50 years old when he was fighting Pac. I am glad he decided to hang it up when he did. I wish Holyfield and Roy would take note.

Yes, Oscar carried the sport and was masterful to watch. One of the few fighters who would fight anybody at anytime and never backed away from a fight with anybody.

Yeah, I miss watching a prime Oscar De La Hoya. He was actually my first favorite boxer, but he didn't drive me to like the sport. Just a time where I would only watch him, Tyson and Felix Trinidad, this was when I was a lot younger though and we had an illegal cable box.

Oscar was great to watch years ago
faced everyone and delivered action almost everytime
became laughingstock when he tried bullying a LW and lost
liking him more now as a FT promoter than PT fighter/PT promoter
and even at that he still annoying sometimes

Nope. He was too much of a phony for me. And I've never forgiven him for running away from Trinidad.

Yeah I do miss Oscar, I have nothing but good memories of De La Hoya fights we would always make huge BBQ's and parties for his fights, the first DLH fight i saw was vs Ruelas and after that I never missed a fight. Prime Oscar was a beast.

Yes i do. He was a great fighter. I liked him as a fighter, it's harder to like him as a promoter.
