Looks like SHOWTIME has a terrific bantamweight doubleheader in the works for November 6. IBF bantamweight champion Yohnny Perez (20-0-1, 14 KOs) will take on Joseph Agbeko (27-2, 22 KOs) in a rematch, and IBO bantamweight king Vic Darchinyan (35-2-1, 27 KOs) faces unbeaten IBF #6/WBO #10 rated Abner Mares (20-0-1, 13 KOs). Darchinyan is also currently the WBC and WBA super flyweight champ. No site yet, but the STAPLES Center in Los Angeles is in play.

That's a great card but it sucks that Mares has to fight Vic because I like both of them. I'd rather see Mares blister the *** out of Donaire.

This is some of the best news I've heard in a minute. Both of these fights have fight of the year written all over them. Agbeko-Perez have delivered before, and Mares-Darchinyan? That's ridiculous action, though I think Mares will slaughter him. If people would stop arguing about *******s and *****s, this wouldn't have so few replies. We should be appreciative to Showtime!

If the promoters keep this up then there wont be any need for a Super 6 tourney at Bantamweight. I'd rather the best fight the best, so if we get more matchups like this, then Bantam will eventually play itself out.

Damn, I like both Mares and Darchinyan. I don't know who to root for there.

But Showtime never fails to bring us great fights. Are they trying to build up Perez-Mares II (if they both come out victorious)?
