"December 9, 2004 -- OUR exclusive story last week about a depressed Mike Tyson drowning in debt and abusing ******* struck a nerve with Ricardo DeCubas, who claims he is close to inking a deal to promote Tyson's latest comeback. DeCubas tells us Tyson, 38, is set to fly from his home in Phoenix, Ariz., to a training camp in northern California, where he'll work with legendary Panamanian pugilist Roberto Duran. "He's coming back. We're gonna have two or three fights, and then go for the championship." Tyson's manager, Shelly Finkel — who issued a statement Monday denying the ex-champ was using ******* — confirmed that Tyson is training for yet another comeback fight in March. DeCubas said, "I've been with [Tyson] for the past six weeks and I haven't seen him do any drugs at all." No drugs, perhaps, but hardly a clean record. Tyson was arrested Tuesday in Scottsdale for jumping on the hood of another man's car after leaving a club in the wee hours. Tyson's caused $1,400 in damage, the man claims. DeCubas was not deterred: "We're not gonna let Mike end up another American tragedy, like Sonny Liston or Joe Louis. We're gonna bring him back." We'll see."
