Kevin Cunningham, manager and trainer of WBC/IBF 140-pound champion Devon Alexander, had plenty to say in response to Freddie Roach's recent comments on BoxingScene.com. During an interview with BoxingScene's Lem Satterfield, Roach called Amir Khan the "best fighter" at junior welterweight. Roach made an extreme comment to cement his confidence in Khan's abilities, by stating that his fighter could beat Alexander, WBO champ Tim Bradley and Marcos Maidana - in the same night.

Cunningham usually gets besides himself at times but he is more than 100% correct, I thought it is in Maidana's contract that he can't request a title shot for at least 1 year!!!

cunningham usually talks crazy shht, but i agree 100 % with him on this one, the simple fact that Khan and Roach are trying to fight JMM proves his point.If he can beat all of em, why call out someone who is not even in the division? JMM is at the end of his career, Khan is fresh just getting started with his, why not fight someone just as fresh..stop beggin JMM to come up to 140 , thats a punk move..

I can understand Cunningham's complaints, but at the same time, Maidana isn't a guy you can count on to show up! He burned other fighters before (most recently Timothy Bradley) so why push for that. Personally, I think Khan would be competitive with Devon Alexander and possibly beat him by the way Alexander looked against Kotelnik. If I was Devon, I would just go straight to Tim Bradley and get my ass kicked by him. That way, he loses to the BEST 140 lber right now and can claim more excuses and then continue on...

cunningham is just defending alexander and retaliating to what roach has said......but too bad , roach is right exept the part where he beats all of em in one night, that was just him talking ****........these 4 just need to fight eachother to end this talk!
