Most of these so called '*******s or *****s' dribble incoherent, illogical and clueless crap, there are bad apples on both sides. I have to say though that more threads are created by '*******s' bashing Floyd Mayweather, we should appreciate seeing both great fighters at their prime.

Come on, dude. It's just an opposite subliminal trademark.

I wouldn't say lifeline because that would be implying that boxing is for sure headed towards an end.

But, I think boxing would be going through a "dark ages" type of depression. Love or hate Pac, he had not only maintained boxing's popularity, but he's actually increased it. How many other fighter's would have the chance to sing, although badly lol, on network TV.

My friends and I always watch the big boxing matches and MMA fights, but without Pac, I don't think my friends would have the same kind of interest in boxing as they do MMA. Besides Mayweather, we don't have fighters like Oscar, Tito, Mosley, Jones, Lennox, Tyson, or Holyfield right now.

It's normal for boxing to have downtime, or not be as big as a previous generation. But I think boxing has a bright future. It's only a matter of time before the younger boxing generation takes over after Pac and Mayweather retire. Mayweather brings in numbers, but Pac is man that brings excitement to boxing and he gets the most praise. As much as I love boxing, I don't think my friends would watch as much boxing and most of them aren't even Filipino.

Like Larry Merchant says, if there was a Manny Pacquiao in every weight class, boxing would be the greatest and most watched sport today.

you want an honest, unbiased response?

the sport will go on...it always has...there has always been someone that picked up the mantle and become the main guy

the advent of boxing message boards will help 'find' that next big star...but im not sure how quickly that will happen

you've got some decent and marketable guys right now but not one has a rabid and large fanbase that screams as 'the next big thing'

plus the pension of today's fighters to not go out and fight the best will even delay that process even more

when PAC is gone and Floyd is gone for good, the sport WILL suffer...the diehards will maintain but this recent popularity boon wont be seen in a while

another blog site with ZERO CREDIBILITY.

now boxing? you have got to be kidding me. isnt this the same blog site that was posting manuel perez blogs?

as for the topic at hand, boxing was at its darkest hours after the end of mike tyson's reign & beginning with roy jones jr. reign followed by floyd mayweather. it was horrendous time during roy & floyd's reign.

it took a lower weight fighter like pac to bring boxing back to the doldrums. when pac retires, boxing's next king will be between dirrell & ward.

                start praying for boxing now.
