Indeed, but it still taints credibility of the cheating fighter, regardless of which illegal route they took

yes and getting a ticket for driving 56 in a 55 will have a negative impact on your driving record, but driving 120 through a school zone, will have a much bigger impact and consequences...both are negative but the degree of punishment is different ya dig

              Billy Collins Jr

People forget that Billy Collins Jr couldn't fight anymore due to the head damage he took in the Resto fight..

Louie literally gave him brain damage, even HE knows the damage from his plaster filled gloves caused him to eventually kill himself..

Billy Collins was a good kid yo he was a confident guy on a positive path until Resto plastered him down. Resto caused him brain damage which led to him losing his Boxing career, fall into severe depression and he completely ****ED up mind and life..

You might say, well he had brain damage but he didn't have to kill himself right? wrong, there are many different kinds of damage to the brain you can suffer, some can cause you to do things as a result of a trance or even impulse which they , physically can't stop themselves from doing..

being that it was found that the damage Collins suffered from the blows was the direct cause to his brain damage and loss of career and even his life YES I'd say what that ****ING CHEATER An-Phony-o Plastercheato did was worse, no doubt about it..

I WILL however say that Steroid usage and any kind of Performance Enhancing Drugs should result in an immediate lifetime ban, if they made an example like this lets say out of a guy like Roy Jones Jr or Evander Holyfield it would serve as an example for others not to want to cheat, they'd say "No, Thank You. Look what happened to Evander, I'm good" and that will stick but they don't they just continue to let it pass

This is not true. Billy Collins Sr. deliberately stopped his son from fighting again in hopes of making more money via the lawsuit.

Go watch Assault in the Ring as Billy Collin Jr. own wife mentions this. She said that his dad told him not to fight because they would get more money for him not fighting vs. suing for the commission, the promoters and others involved.

What reason would she have to lie when it came to that?

yep, the promoters offered him fights but the dad REFUSED cause he wanted the money from the commission, billy collins got depressed because of that and became a heavy drinker, leading him to his death.

Honestly I read this thread and I agree with you that Tony is thrown under the bus while those other guys didn't get so much as a slap on the risk. People talk about Tony compromising the integrity of the sport, but when Mosley was busted he was involved in the most disgraceful exploitation in the history of all sports.

Baseball took a huge hit when that Mitchell report came out, and all that Conte/Balco **** came to light. Everyone, of all sports was tuned into this and looked down on it. To have a star athlete like Mosley involved was just as disgraceful when you look at things objectively.

In all honestly he should have at least been suspended for a year by the various boxing commission, yet nothing happened and he was actually in line to get huge fights with Judah and others.

To me this is hypocritical and most of the guys who bash Tony are fans of some of the biggest cheaters in this sport. I'm like this, I believe in second chances and feel Mosley should be allowed to fight.....but so does Margarito.

I just hate the hypocrisy from 90% of the poster on here. If you bash Margarito then you should also bash guys like Mosley, Holyfield and others who cheated during there careers. I chose to forgive both and as I believe in second chances.

yeah Collins Sr. not letting his son box lead to his heavy drinking and depression. This in turn led to his death. Even his wife acknowledged this.
