That would've been one helluva fight to watch.

Why didn't it pop off?

Hopkins pulled out, I think he wanted more money or was unhappy with the amount Don King was going to take. Same thing with him pulling out of the fight with Calzaghe back in this time. I don't find it a coincidence that post-Trinidad, under Don King, Hopkins didn't take part in any risky/big fights, and then started getting big PPV paydays once he left King.
