Adamek was nearly out on his feet in the last round; was cut under both eyes before that, from legitimate punches; and was genuinely hurt several times in rounds 6 through 10; and considering how poor a fighter Grant is these days (his last decent win was in 1999), and considering that Grant didn't even try to throw anything meaningful until the sixth round, I think it was a very unimpressive display by Adamek. On this performance, the idea that Adamek could be a genuine threat to either of the Klitschkos is laughable. Shame, because I was hoping Adamek might be a serious contender, but he isn't, on this showing.

I had been expecting to see a beatdown along the lines of Spinks-Cooney (which had a lot of similarities to this fight in theory). But it was very far from that. Adamek clearly won, but he didn't look like a top 5 Heavyweight in this fight. Chambers would beat him convincingly, IMO.

Well I'm Polish but I'm pretty disappointed. Adamek won, but still it wasn't a good fight by him. In round 5 or 6, Grant did hit him with BIG right hand and if not the end of the round it could've easily be a KO for Grant... Adamek was on totally different world for few seconds...

IMO Adamek will get humiliated vs Klitshko bros if he chooses to fight them.

He could have been (and could still be) a great Cruiserweight; but unfortunately money talks, so he moved up to Heavyweight; but on this showing he will never be a serious contender for the Heavyweight title, even if he does have a skills to beat way past it fighters like Grant, or out of shape Heavyweights like Arreola. I think it would be in his best interests as a sportsman to move back down to Cruiserweight, but unfortunately, I suspect money is more important to him than sporting legacy.

Well yea but you know we are doing everything in life to get some $$. Boxers wants the money as well :d So I wouldn't just say that money is more important than legacy. Because in the end of the day, money is buying u bread for u and ur family.

In reality, Adamek was easily beating Grant for the majority of the fight, when Grant’s style didn’t resemble that of the Klitschkos, and was getting beaten up by Grant in those rare moments when Grant began to fight somewhat as the Klitschkos would’ve done.
Truth... Grant could have finished Adamek in the last round... Adamek showed that he doesn`t know how to solve the problem of the jab...

I`m disappointed ... I thought Adamek would crush Grant... He can`t stop a glass-jawed fighter in Grant... Forget the Klitchkos... That would be just a money fight for both of them...

lol nah. End of the 6th yeah but he was still aware enough to slip and block Grants 2 follow up shots. 7,8,9, no.

Adamek has already earned hundreds of times more than I will earn in my entire lifetime. He has also earned far more than 90% of the ATGs of the past ever earned. He has no need to worry about buying bread.

Lots of people put job satisfaction way above earning the most money they possibly can. Otherwise there would be no scientists or engineers in the world - they would all be working in the banking industry. For that matter, there would be no great artists, writers, poets, composers, or musicians (very few of the really great ones died rich - although they didn't have any problems buying bread for their family either).
