If Manny Pacquioa fights Margarito at a catchweight of 150 and beats him for a JMW title, then fights Martinez at a catchweight of 156 for a MW title and beats him, then fights Andre Ward at a catchweight of 164 for a SMW title and beats him, then fights Pascal at a catchweight of 171 for a LHW title and beats him, some of the idiots on here would claim Pacquiao had an unfair advantage over Pascal.

I see some suspect **** in this,allow me to point it out,1st of all,all the OTHER fighters U named besides Margarito,are actually champions in their respective weight classes!!Margarito is nothing at 154,nothing,no title,wasn't ranked respectibly,nothing!!Now all of a sudden him & Pacman fight for a title??Maybe if Pacman actually fought a top 5 super welterweight,even if that was a catchweight,people wouldn't complain as much!!

The difference is that at least one of each of those fights had a body of work at that weight-class. And, were ranked by respectable top 10 rankins.

In this situation neither has a top 10 ranking nor a body of work at that weight-class.

i wouldnt go so far as to say manny is using his superstar status to cherrypick. If there was an official poll of the top 3 things pacquiao fans would like to see him do....it would be:

1. fight mayweather
2. title in an 8th weight division
3. marquez trilogy.

Now i agree with your reasoning behind margarito not being ranked and im against the catchweight as well but from a business standpoint the only title holder at 154 that would bring in the kind of money arum and pacquiao wanna make would be cotto...and the demand for that fight simply isnt there. And it's undeniable that cheating scandal and all...margarito is still a bigger draw than williams or bundrage or cintron.

No way,absolutely not!!I guarantee that Pacman vs the Punisher,Martinez or Angulo,maybe even Cintron outsells Pacman-Clottey,or even Floyd-Mosley for that matter!!Sure they don't have buku fans,but combined with Manny clashing for 154 pound dominance,a lineal title for sure,that fight will make history!!If U can honestly name me a boxing fan who wouldn't pay to see Manny take on the Punisher,I will show U a fake who probably likes to watch golf & nascar,real talk!!
