This gives me the chance to say that no matter what anyone thinks of his talent, Michael Grant is a class act. One of the nicest people I've ever seen in the sport.
Sorry to drift off topic. Teddy is very knowledgable, but I've never seen a trainer who quit on so many fighters.Comment

Atlas has had little success and a lot of failure as a trainer. The boxers usually end up firing him.
And of course, Cus D'Amato ended up firing him.Comment

Well, with Teddy you know what you're getting yourself into. He's a hard trainer, he wont sugarcoat anything for you. He's gonna let you know if you are doing something wrong. The problem is that sometimes the fighter needs some encouragement. Teddy doesnt do any cheerleading. He should do a little bit to keep his fighters optimistic. I wont say if he's bad or good, he trained a fighter to a world title, that's pretty damn good. He needs to be more positive, I will say that.Comment

There's more to that story than that, Moorer liked to do the exact opposite of what his trainer's told him to do, Atlas constantly told him not to stand and trade with Foreman, so that's what Mooer decided to do.The rest is historyComment
