There's evidence that there was tampering, not that Margarito was aware. Oscar thinks Margarito should be held responsible for whatever is in his gloves.

As much as I can't stand Oscar, he is. He had a great career. Milked the industry like no1 else. Top Rank CEO Bob Arum has issued a response to Golden Boy Promotions President Oscar De La Hoya, who believes Antonio Margarito should receive a lifetime ban from the sport of boxing. De La Hoya was pleased with the recent decision by the California State Athletic Commission to deny Margarito's application for a boxing license. You mean to tell me that Margarito didn't feel any difference between the wraps he used his entire career and the ones that Capotillo all of sudden slipped in there? So, let's put this in simple terms....the normal wraps don't get harden but somehow at the end of a fight he couldn't notice that those wraps were hard as rocks??? Sorry, I don't buy it!

This makes no sense. How do you know that Margarito's wraps were rock hard after a fight? The only time he got caught with them was after they had only been on his hands for a few minutes with no gloves.

bob arum is the best promoter in the sport of boxing, he made de la hoya millions of dollars and the star he became , now he is being real. if de la hoya has any dignity he will give the money to charity because arum has beat him up again.he says margarito should be banned for life, but he defends mosley who has fought and passed steroids tests and he still keeps getting fights. just look how bad he looked without steroids against mayweather there is the proof he look dull!!!!
