In what promises to be a heart-stopping thriller, all-action television favorite Oscar “El Torito” Diaz, 21-1 (11), will face all-action television favorite Emanuel Augustus, 31-24-6 (16), on August 26 at the Thunderbird Wild West Casino in Norman, Oklahoma and televised live on ESPN2’s Friday Night Fights. The two super lightweights will headline a “rock ‘em sock ‘em” night of Duva Boxing in association with Holden Productions professional boxing. “Boxing fans, make sure you are in front of your televisions on the night of Friday, August 26,” said promoter Dino Duva. “Oscar and Emanuel are both cut from the same cloth. They can’t help but be electrifying. They’re going to the Wild West to put on an old-school gunfight for the ages. Anyone who knows boxing knows that this fight can’t miss. It’s one that had to be made and we’re happy to be bringing it to ESPN2’s viewers and the Thunderbird Wild West Casino.”
Oscar Diaz is young and hungry, and his only loss is a decision he dropped to Ebo Elder.
This is a good fight for Augustus, and if he wins it, he could inch closer to a bigger fight at 140.
