oh ok makes sense, i think you should of just said that instead of coining this "active inactivity" phrase. just my opinion of course

From 2002-2006: 10 fights in 4 Years [AVERAGE: 2.5 fights per year ]
From 1998-2002: 17 Fights in 4 Years [AVERAGE: 4.25 fights per year]
From 1996-1998: 18 Fights in 2 Years [AVERAGE: 9.0 fights per year]

              Longest Inactivity: 9 months (5/22/2004 – 1/22/2005)

In order for Floyd Mayweather to exceed his longest Active Inactivity mark he would not have to fight before February 2, 2011. Anytime after that he would set a new mark for his personal longest Inactivity.

Considering the stats as listed up above, it is clear to see Mayweather will probably exceed his longest inactivity mark, and moreso continue his pattern of dimishing his number of fights he has every four years.

If it wasnt offical before, it is offical now, Floyd Mayweather Jr. is offically a Part Time Fighter.
Wasn't he retired from 07-09? That would change the average. Also check your math. For example:

January 1, 1996- December 31, 1998 is 3 years. 18 fights in 3 years is an average of 6 per year. While I'm at it:

From 2006-2010: 6 Fights in 3 Years ( with the 21 mos "retiredment period factored in[AVERAGE: 2 fights per 12 mos]
From 2002-2006: 10 fights in 5 Years [AVERAGE: 2 fights per 12 mos]]
From 1998-2002: 17 Fights in 5 Years [AVERAGE: 3.4 fights per 12 mos]]
From 1996-1998: 18 Fights in 3 Years [AVERAGE: 6.0 fights per 12 mos]
