Valero as a person no. His talent could be used in boxing right now definitely though.

He'd be in the mix at 140 right now. As if that division wasn't loaded enough.

as for Valero, when i say i didnt really miss the guy, i meant it..and i didnt even really consider his heinous acts towards his wife

besides a bunch of grainy youtube fights from Japan that lasted a round, he fought what? once or twice? never really became 'household' as far as exposure...even to the most ardent fight fans
dont u just miss these type of fighters? they will just take on all challenges, no issues on purse splits, no olympic style drug testing, no vacations & no *****ing if they lose... and inside the ring, u will be treated with excitement and drama and yeah! violence!!!

That's how I see it too. His death has elevated his career to places it doesn't deserve. There's not even one truly significant win on his resume. I personally think he would have lost big to the elite fighters in the division. Whenever Demarco hit him, he busted him up. And I'm not talking about the butts.

Hell yeah I miss him. Look at how sick 140 already is. He was already in talks to fight Bradley. JMM would have been forced to fight him if he stayed at LW. The guy was exciting in the ring. A KO artist with decent boxing skills. He could have beaten a lot of guys at 135-140.

Valero was a natural born fighter and was being shaped into something special by Alcazar but his life tragically spiraled out of control in a few short months following the DeMarco victory. He would have wiped out the 140lb division without much effort and eventually went up against guys like Mayweather and Pacquiao. The careers of boxers like Gatti and Corrales already peaked when they died but Valero's rise was just beginning that's why it was such a shame.

He would've KOd Alexander and Khan for sure. Bradley would've been a closer fight.

I just feel bad for his wife, iirc she was young and beautiful with everything to live for. Valero's boxing pales into complete insignificance against that background.

I regret that he was never exposed. That was coming soon, considering the names he was calling out.

It is quite possible they will fight on catch weight. Case of Valero is sad, i learn not even to try *******. Not even once.

We should ask Tony DeMarco. Do you see what I did there?
