The Only fight on the golden boy card I want to see is Alvarez VS Baldomir. And that will probably be one sided. Ortiz and Harris both suck and both are far from vicious.Comment

Marg fans are so oblivious to the truth, even when it's cracking them in the face like plaster....During the six-hour hearing Wednesday in Los Angeles, athletic commissioners grilled Margarito to answer if his rehabilitation was genuine, and even questioned him for training in California this year without a sparring permit.
"What's so disheartening is that [Margarito] has been given every chance to come forward to give the truth," California assistant attorney general Karen Chappelle told the commission. "[He] has demonstrated no remorse for the potential harm to his opponent."
Chappelle added it would be "foolhardy [to] trust the safety of other boxers to his whim," claiming that Margarito was "willing to cover up his professional shortcomings" by trying to use loaded gloves.Comment

to many sub par matches and Mora isn't all that, he's been picking safe fights and only taking chances when he's making more money than he's really worth. should be on hbo not PPV.Comment

I may get some hate for this, but I'm not all that fond of Tito. I respect his status as one of PR all time greats, he has a nice following but my introduction to boxing was with Cotto.. All I ever heard from my friends back then was about how great a rep felix had & that he punched too fkin hard lol (pre-Jones jr bout). When I finally tuned in for the Winky ppv to see what all the hype was about my expectations were shot nd dude really didn't seem all that special. That was furthered by the fact Don King was his promoter which is shady enough in of itself. Fixed maybe? Coulda just been getting too old. idk.
After the B-hop scandal tho which wasn't even really that since there was no evidence to be had and tito was instructed to re-wrap 3x-- he lost the fight convincingly BUT rebounded with monster wins over Mayorga/Cherifi. I can't put someone out for losing to Hopkins cuz the man is raw and truly personifies what it means to be fighter of the decade. So obviously Trinidad retained some power whereas Marg looked horrible both vs Mosley which didn't even go the distance and even sloppier for a decision win in Mexico against some no name garcia.
We saw him backpeddle(?), hold and clown his way to a UD where the corrupt ref/commentators/judges were clearly favoring Margarito while Garcia was reprimanded to hell, even getting pts taken from him at one pt. despite having to tolerate AM's own taunts & unprofessionalism. No one gave him **** cuz he repped MEX nd he was their "hero". During trial the %@$tard wouldn't even claim responsibility for his actions, the potential harm he might've put fighters in.. common logic tells you this guy is slime. One commissioner even pointed out that his alibi didn't add up, nd that he contradicted himself on more than occasion, basically calling him a liar. That's what makes the cotto fight so symbolic- how do you go from bludgeoning the #1 welterweight in the world to being tko'd by an aged SSM? Doesn't add up, and if theres one thing I believe it's that if something looks too good to be true, then it probably is.Comment
