Hearing now that Marcos Maidana is being kicked around as a name for Andre Berto on that Oct. 2nd “Boxing After Dark” tripleheader. Meanwhile, I was told that Ricardo Mayorga was rejected by HBO as a possibility for Sergiy Dzinziruk. I guess they didn’t want a fight that had the chance of being any fun... http://www.maxboxing.com/news/main-l...ing-kathy-duva
Berto-Maidana possibility?... Mayorga Rejected...

There are better fights for Maidana at 140. It would be a very dumb move of Maidana to move up to 147 and fight Berto. Beto will beat Maidana. Not that I think highly about Berto...it's just that Maidana's biggest asset is his power and his power will be less meaningful at 147. -

What a joke this guy Berto is becoming...
Berto should fight Clottey, Cintron, or Angulo.
Dzinziruk should fight Vanes or Cintron.
And Caballero should fight B. Concepcion, R. Martinez, or J. Solis.
Or just keep them off the network until one of these opponents are available (or a good one man's up) and stop trying to force unnecessary ****.Comment

If he can carry the weight, then it's all good, but Berto's pretty strong and IMO Kotelnik will have a tough time peeling off Berto.
Look at the way he stuck onto one of the strongest Jr. Welterweights (Urango), he just held onto him until he was ready to punch. He wasn't able to do that to Collazo that easily (also because of the ref too).
I don't want to see another Berto hugfest, they're trying to force feed him.
I also forgot Mike Jones, which would be a really good fight, probably better than the ones I mentioned.Comment
