I would've put the difference between Martinez-Williams II and Martinez-Angulo, but I don't know how much they offered for Martinez-Angulo, just that Angulo turned down $750K. Which tells me they've probably offered close to $2M for that fight and I've seen reports of them offering $3M for Martinez-Williams II. Either way, it still stands that HBO can and probably would have make up any discrepancy in attendance revenue.

I got a ton of respect for B-Hop but that is bull**** to me, he wanted nothing to do with Dawson when he was the champ, now he sees a opportunity to get the titles back without having to fight Dawson now all of a sudden he wants to fight Pascal, then if he wins he is STILL not going to fight Dawson lol

I don't have any reason to trust what Hopkins says anymore.

He went on FNF and said he'll fight the winner of Dawson-Johnson....Chad won, and the fight never happened.

Styles make fights, but I think Pascal can still win this one if he and the Executioner ever meet.

It is a bit of crap from Hopkins.

Hope Pascal gets to him if they fight.

I think had Chad owned the RING title, he'd have fought for it. Hence the reason he chaced a calzaghe rematch for so long.

I think that he saw Dawson as a threat, and in order to save face in the event of a loss.. he'd prefer to fight Dawson after he had cleaned out the division.. so it was truely a Win/Win for him. The old guy coming off a long lay off beats the guy who beat everyone in the division. or.. The old guy coming off a long lay off loses to the guy who cleaned out the division..

Either way you look at it, he is saving face. This is why he wanted Dawson to clean the division out first.. so he wouldn't have to. He could get 1 fight, win or lose, and most likely call it quits afterward.

Now, though.. with dawson losing.. he can get that Ring Belt against an easier opponent which will most likely make more money too, and then pull the plug on his career.

Pretty much.. when it came to dawson.
he would rather beat the guy who beat everyone, so that he doesn't
            have to fight anymore.

The more dangerous the opponent, the safer you have to play. Bhop is smart.

The reason Hopkins didn't fight Dawson was because he couldn't draw flies to **** and he arguably lost to Glen Johnson and stunk the joint out against Tarver in some fights that did horrible TV ratings. So now Hopkins wants to go after the guy who just won the Ring belt and people bash him for it? Some people are just gonna hate Hopkins and discredit him for everything he does no matter what.

i have a better theory, pascal beats dawson, hopkins beats pascal and hopkins beats dawson.

I have a better one Dawson beats Pascal in the rematch, Hopkins beats Pascal, and Hopkins-Dawson is a tossup. B-Hop must've seen something that you haven't.
