He's a 3 time welterweight champion one loss does not cancel out his entire body of work. Sure there are more deserving fighters, but those same fighters couldn't sell out a fight in their home town even if they gave away the tickets. A 3 time champ who drew the largest crowd in staples center history.....Yeah thats all he needs on his resume to be considered for this fight.
Is not about one lost man, and is not about breaking attendance record in Staples Center man.
Is about what transpired right before the fight. He did his time but he has to EARN his way back. Knowingly or unknowingly it was something severe. Plaster or traces of ingredients of plaster it was cheating. You can't do that and then in a year and half and one fight later get a chance to fight for 6/7 figures against the best P4P fighter in the World for a bullshit belt and be claim champ.
He has not earned this spot yet, he has not earned this fight yet. He doesn't deserve it plain and simple. And, if you check my track record I have defended Marg on here even about the whole wraps situation. But, the fact is he doesn't deserve this fight at all. And, there are more deserving fighters out there.
And, as fan we should not care about who brings what. You just said in another previous post that who cares about how much money a guy makes. But, with this post you're saying yea they deserving fighters who can't draw shit. But, so what I don't care about that and neither should you. They're deserving that is all that matters.
Tony may not be the "most" deserving fighter but it doesn't mean that the fight isn't gonna be super entertaining.[/QUOTE]
It would be entertaining I said this already. I have said it in this thread 3 times. But, that doesn't mean it should happen. Or that it makes Marg deserving for this fight.
Lets just call it like it is. It will be an entertaining bullshit of a fight with a bullshit title on the line. That I will watch in attendance if it is in Dallas.
First whats good Dream,
Second, I can not wait to see how Arum handle's this too...
Because if Arum denies Pacquiao's request he is basically telling Pacquiao he is not a big of draw as Mayweather, and therefore undercutting his argument that Pacquiao deserves 50% against Mayweather.
