BOB ARUM: Well, I think he’s (Mayweather) probably at his most marketable up to now, but I think it’s just starting. I think that the public now is beginning to appreciate this man’s talent and as the most talented fighter in the world, he will be in the position to be the biggest attraction and make the most money. I think one thing will naturally follow the other and as long as he – as he said, is cooperative with the media, knows and understands promotion, the sky is the limit.
I really believe that before he’s (Mayweather) finished, he will earn more money than any fighter in the history of boxing.

Bob Arum Calls Mayweather Jr. "Delusional," Says No Way Will He Get Even A 50/50 Purse Split For Pacquiao Fight"You can tell Floyd Mayweather that Bob Arum says he's delusional," Arum said. "Floyd is not the attraction. Manny is the attraction. Floyd's got no idea what he's talking about. Floyd must be hallucinating when he said he wants the bigger purse and wouldn't agree to a 50/50 split. Even a 50/50 split with Floyd Mayweather is nonsense."

BOB ARUM, CHAIRMAN, TOP RANK: I want to welcome you to this conference call. It’s really a pleasure as we get down to crunch time. We have the best fighter in the world, “Pretty Boy” Floyd Mayweather, on this call. Floyd, I know, can’t wait for April 8th to show everybody once again how truly talented he is. In my opinion, yesterday [March 29, 1966 - Ali v. Chuvalo] was my 40th year in boxing and “Pretty Boy” Floyd Mayweather, next to the early Muhammad Ali, is the best fighter that I’ve ever seen..

Bob Arum, Pacquiao's promoter, called him "the best fighter I've ever seen," a high compliment from a man who also promoted Muhammad Ali, Sugar Ray Leonard -- and Floyd Mayweather.

Man....I'm not the type to care or try to justify how much another man should make ....so I truly can't believe there are 39 people who voted No.
what type of f**kin idiot doesn't realize these guys are damn near killing each other and shortening their lives for a paycheck. I don't even like the "Money" Mayweather farce he has going on...but I'd never say Floyd doesn't deserve whatever money he demands.
You people piss me off. That's how I can tell most of you are little b**** who've never had to work for **** in your life. I say that, because if you DID work, you'd know how difficult it is to make ends meet right now.
Manny and Floyd have entertained millions while putting their lives at risk. Their reward FINALLY equals their risk at this point in their careers. And you pieces of **** have the nerve to say one of those men doesn't deserve it.
I'm sick of you bastards.Last edited by NesNY; 08-17-2010, 03:12 PM.Comment
