Berto defense is not great but he is slippery and he can slip punches, Berto can't take punishment based on what? because he got staggered a few times? even when Berto gets staggered he stays in their and he keeps fighting, why is it that when other fighters do that people say "that fighter has HEART" but when it happens to Berto "he has no chin and he can't take punishment and he has no defense"

with Cintron being the taller guy I think Berto would break him down with Body Punches and Quick Combos moving in and out

I like Cotto or Mosley chances against Berto then I do Cintron that is for damn sure

a totally out of shape Quintana that actually still dropped Berto and was giving him a handfull? interesting.

Berto was afraid of Urango for crying out loud, and was hugging him every second there was when Urango went on the offensive. I felt bad for Urango, the ref should have deducted a point from Berto for all that grabbing.

hahaha your really going to give Quintana credit for the knock down...hahaha and he still got his ass whooped!

Urango is a very Powerful fighter, Clinching is to break up his offense and to keep him from throwing the win looping power punches, watch Ali vs Foreman you could learn a few things about boxing and the art of clinching, it is just a way to slow your opponent but at the same time it is ways to keep your opponent from Clinching you, a good jab and great footwork can keep someone from Clinching you like Jones did to Hopkins in their first fight, every fight is not going to be pretty, sometimes you have to pull out UGLY fights just to the win and that is what he did against Urango

again nobody is saying Berto is unbeatable and of course he has flaws he is only 26, he needs to fight better competition so he can test himself, maybe that is why he is thinking about going down to 140 because it is nothing at 147 right now because neither Mayweather or Pacman will fight him anytime soon

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jcgQUh49TWI go to 30 seconds in. thats a stinking knockdown. was Berto horribly hurt? nah. but it was obviously the punch that put Berto down, even if Berto was mostly off balance. LOL at him crying about it being 'back of the head' when it obviously wasnt and still trying to grab Quintana as he was falling.

Clinching can be smart. and it is a part of boxing, to a degree(although its still semi-illegal). but what Berto was doing wasnt 'clinching', it was pussing out of an infight entirely. The clinching was so often it was sickening, especially toward the end. That was point deduction worthy. and lawl comparing Berto-Urango to Ali-Foreman, Ali was not clinching half as much as Berto and was doing it far, far more strategically.

again are you REALLY going to make big deal about that cheap ass knockdown, so giving Quintana that knockdown changes the outcome of the fight? lol because last time I check Quintana went on to get his ass whooped after that "Knock Down"

and who in the hell compared Berto-Urango to Ali-Foreman, it was just as example of how some guys fight against more POWERFUL OPPONENTS, I think you better go back and watch Ali vs Foreman AGAIN, Ali uses A LOT OF Clinching, Ali would throw his Combos then clinch immediately he did that almost then entire fight: look at all the Clinching and even holding the back of the head by Ali and this was just the first few rounds lol

all people talk about is Power This Power That but SPEED takes negates Power, it is hard to KO a person when they are constantly moving, that is how Cintron was able to survive he stayed outside and kept moving and Angulo kept running into to punches trying to catch Cintron with something big
You cant be serious if you think Berto stands any chance at all against Angulo. You just lost any credibility with that ****** ass post

um, theres still a huge difference between what Berto does and what Ali did. Ali mostly just posted his left hand on and behind foreman's head, there was still distance between them. Berto flat out grabs his opponents and hangs on for dear life until the ref breaks them.

and Berto scored a tko over an out of shape Quintana, big deal. he still struggled with him throughout the course of the fight, and Quintana did knock him down. nothing cheap ass about it, other than Berto trying to ***** out and pretend it was behind the head when it wasnt.

Its not like it matters, Berto wont fight Cintron. Hes going to call out 140lbers instead, except fight them at 147.

how is that as ****** post? because I don't agree with you lol

Berto speed would give Angulo PROBLEMS, it is no question in my mind, in fact any fighter with speed will give Angulo problems and I like Angulo a lot but lets be honest Angulo is not that fast and doesn't have good footwork, Angulo can be out-boxed and Clumsy Cintron proved that, Cintron just fought going backwards the entire night and popping Angulo with Jabs to the face and he won on the cards

I think Berto would do the same thing but the difference is that Berto is MUCH FASTER then Cintron
