& Robert Duran beat Leonard.. so I dunno what you talking about.
I guess you don't know the origins of NO MAS.

Who said anything about a BLACK style? What is a BLACK style? Clottey, Mayweather, Tito, Pascal. Do they fight with the BLACK style?? LOL!

"stretched to the limit" is jean pascal win over chad dawson, imo.

i don't consider pea's "win" over chavez "stretched to the limit".

Just a ****** all around thread and mentality from the lame ass OP.....just throwing around a few examples, most of which are ridiculous and inaccurate, to prove a mute point

              - Zab Judah is far from "slick" and Kosta was a beast in his prime
              - Pernell Whitaker outboxed JCC and everybody with half a brain know this
              - Floyd Mayweather proved it was just a fluke and had issues in the first fight with an injury when he clearly outboxed Castillo in the rematch

Slick is not even really a style, it is more like a strategy, Pascal fought a slick fight against Chad Dawson but Pascal doesn't always fight like that, Adamek is pretty slick for his size, he used a slick strategy against Arreola however he doesn't always fight like that

currently, Lucian Bute is pretty slick and slip punches nicely, Sergio Martinez, Pirog uses a slick style defensively

Slick is about being slippery defensively and being hard to hit, it has nothing to do with Race and it is really not even about being the fastest or the most athletic, some guys are just more superior at telegraphing punches, almost like they know which punch are coming before their opponent throws it

the Slick strategy is not unbeatable but it is more of a match up NIGHTMARE especially for the slower Brawlers who don't have good footwork to keep up, the Super Six Tournament is proving that and it is not just the American fighters, Kessler had the speed advantage over Froch, Kessler stood in and fought but Kessler was also able to get out when he had to and reset himself

it is not "running" when you are actually landing punches on your opponent

The TS is a freakin' idiot that has no idea wtf he is talking about.

                  Kosta a slow plodder?

Whitaker beaten by Chavez? It's so obvious that you havn't even seen the fight. These Boxrec warriors piss me off!

And you don't have to African American to be slick, Nicolino Locche was one of the slickest boxer ever.

You closet racists just keep making excuses to s.hit on Black fighters any chance you get. Like that idiot SlimShandy.

Floyd Mayweather has ruled boxing for over a decade.

Roy Jones/Bernard Hopkins ruled for years before and a lil during Mayweather's reign.

Ray Leonard, Ray Robinson and Ali all RULED ERAS of boxing and are easily considered pound for pound top 10, ALL TIME!

I forgot Sweetpea, arguably the greatest lightweight of all time (at minimum #2).

Look at the hype new (slick) boxers like Pirog, Ward and Dirrel are getting...

Fighters that have mastered the slick African American style of boxing have dominated the sport for years.

All time greats like Roberto Duran, JCC and even Shane Mosley can tell you a thing or two about how difficult it is to conquer that style of boxing.

                    Get your learn on.

3 of those fighters(Ali,Martinez and Pernell) were slick boxers everyone else in there are by definition Boxer punchers.

Just because your black and have some athletic ability that does not make you a slick boxer.

And calling Roy Jones a pure boxers is ***ing ******! Really ***ing ******!!!

Chad Dawson outworked by Jean Pascal

Zab Judah beaten by slow plodders Kostya tsyu and Carlos Baldomir

Roy Jones jr beaten by southpaw Antonio Tarver

Pernell Whitaker stretched to the limit by come forward Julio Cesar Chavez.

And even Floyd Mayweather himself arguably beaten by 1dimensional Jose luis Castillo.
                      add cory Spinks
