lol at your short list of matches hahaha you list a few fights in which the slicker fighter lost so now all of a Sudden the slick style doesn't work? lol

many of the Greatest fighters of all times was "SLICK", that is what separate them from the rest, the guys of their ERA couldn't handle their speed, and why do some people labeling every black fighter "Slick" do your homework and learn your Boxing History, I guess many of you never heard of Willie Pep? Being Fast and Athletic does not mean you are Slick, SLICK to me is more on the defensive side, it is a fighter that is tough to hit, Slick is not just a guy that is fast, Slipping Punches is the major part of being "slick"

anyway but what is with all the HATE on Black Fighters, for some reason people just love to criticize Black Fighters and point out all of their Flaws but they don't point out others who lack defense and boxing skills, when others lack defense and take punches to the face people say "they have heart" "they have a great chin" "they are Warriors" blah blah blah but when fighters like Williams or Berto stand in and fight and take their punches and give punches back, people are quick to point out their lack of great defense

Jones was beaten by...... a slick African Style... so that makes no sense either.

Funny you should mention Mayweather, Ricky Hatton didn't have any answers for his style.

Also, you might want to check with Mikkel Kessler and Arthur Abraham who were both shutout and humiliated by inexperienced Americans fighting with that "African Style".
        Damn! TS severely owned.

They are human beings, even if they are slick. Sometimes you lose to style which you should beat.

Agreed, Sweetpea didn't not loose to Chavez, but got a DK's gift, which was a slick black style. LOL
All this talk just because Dawson had a flat night doesn't mean He is not a force at 175.
Watch Pascal stay away from him from now on, I would be very surprise if He signs the rematch. But NO.
All boxer will loose at some point, unless they duck the ones who were coming to beat them and styles make fights. Pacman has never faced a black slick boxer, so that style will be very difficult for him. Period.

So Sergio Martinez isn't ruling his division?

Floyd Mayweather has ruled boxing for over a decade.

Roy Jones/Bernard Hopkins ruled for years before and a lil during Mayweather's reign.

Ray Leonard, Ray Robinson and Ali all RULED ERAS of boxing and are easily considered pound for pound top 10, ALL TIME!

I forgot Sweetpea, arguably the greatest lightweight of all time (at minimum #2).

Look at the hype new (slick) boxers like Pirog, Ward and Dirrel are getting...

Fighters that have mastered the slick African American style of boxing have dominated the sport for years.

All time greats like Roberto Duran, JCC and even Shane Mosley can tell you a thing or two about how difficult it is to conquer that style of boxing.

              Get your learn on.

Jack Dempsey, Sam Langford, Roberto Duran, Joe Louis, Henry Armstrong, Benny Leonard..

Since when does Martinez have a black style? He is a boxer and is dominant. I wouldn't really call him a defense first doesn't like to get hit boxer like Spinks or Mayweather though.

& Robert Duran beat Leonard.. so I dunno what you talking about.

Look what happened to Erik Morales (reputed WARRIOR) when he faced the SLICK Zaheer Raheem. He got owned.

Look what happened to TITO when he faced B HOPS.

                    Chico against Mayweather...

Larry Holmes vs. Ray Mercer... LMAO!

                    Roy Jones vs. John Ruiz

                    Mosley vs. Mayweather

                    Jones vs. Lacy

Prime Mark Johnson was avoided by ALL the top fighters in or around his weight class.

The list goes on and on...

Chad Dawson outworked by Jean Pascal

Zab Judah beaten by slow plodders Kostya tsyu and Carlos Baldomir

Roy Jones jr beaten by southpaw Antonio Tarver

Pernell Whitaker stretched to the limit by come forward Julio Cesar Chavez.

And even Floyd Mayweather himself arguably beaten by 1dimensional Jose luis Castillo.
While I don't believe theres a "slick african american style" as Hopkins, Jones, Mayweather, Dawson all have different styles they all have similarities and also your opening post sucks as a way to show that the style is a myth all you pointed out is that black americans have been beaten....
