It was Marvin Hagler. He decided to retire instead of fighting him, but then came back 2 years later straight into a fight with Hagler and won a close split decision in the fight of the year according to the ring magazine. Some would say he ducked Pryor, but he would of crushed him.

beat me 2 it. pryor was damnn near begging for the fight. i remember seeing video of the 2 at a press confrence i think and pryor went up 2 the mic and asked 2 get a shot etc. etc. and then sugar ray took he mic back and said "this is my show cowboy". that was funny. he ****ted on pryor.

he would have def whipped pryors ass but he never gave him a shot so he didnt duck him but he kinda pushed him aside you fell me.

I would say Pryor, but then again I didn't grow up in the 80's. Pryor confronted him on that video with Leonard dressed up as a sailor (was that fashionable?) at a press conference.
