Nah, I'm not trying to make Dawson sound like a warrior. What I am saying is that Adamek was allotted the time to end the 12 rounds, instead of it ending abruptly from some freak cut from an accidental headbutt.

Tarver and Johnson were top 3 Lt. Heavyweights when Dawson faced them and Johnson was still top 3 in the 2nd fight. I can pull up articles from respected boxing writers where the winner isn't known beforehand. Except for Dawson-Tarver II, these weren't being talked about as gimme fights going in. You're using revisionist history.

He already beat a current top 5 heavyweight in Adamek, easily might I add, and Haye-Adamek is being talked about as a tossup fight where Tomasz has a good shot at beating Haye.

Still fantasy talk... I wonder why he didn't mention the Klitschko's...

Lol, Haye is the new Ruiz, the easy HW belt everyone wants a shot at. But, nobody wants to fight a Klitschko.

Dawson is made out of the same cloth as Holyfield, Mosley and PWill. They come right back and fight the person that just beat them. No other fighter out here does that. Don't know if Pascal will take another fight before the rematch, but I'm sure Chad's ready.

Plus, what other champion out here is fighting the best in his division besides Martinez?

Hindsight is something else!! Nobody was calling Tarver and Johnson old when Chad fought them. At the time they were the best in the division so who the hell else was he suppose to fight then?

No i agree and aknowledge that those were the rankings and that plenty of writers had it as a tough pick'em matchup. I'm not revisionist though in that my opinion of those fights being jokes was the same then as it is now. You acting like everybody felt that way or that anything an american boxing journalist writes is infallible is what's inaccurate.

I give Dawson credit for the 1st Johnson fight, which he controversially won. The others are jokes imo.

No, I'm stating the facts. So the fact that your opinion of a fight not being up to par differing from writers and other peoples opinion doesn't take away from the fact that they were thought to be competitive fights going in.

I'm sure there are fights that you thought would be blowouts for a favorite and the favorite lost, 100% sure of it.

And everybody wanted Dawson to give Johnson a rematch because of what happened in the first fight and nothing happened in the interim for that demand to diminish.

Adamek was starving himself to make 175.

I would pay to see a PPV of HW Dawson take on HW Adamek. It would be interesting to see if Dawson is just the better boxer or if Adamek was never a true LHW. If Adamek can put on that much weight so quickly, I don't see a reason why Dawson can't. Let's see the fight, Adamek needs to avenge that loss anyway.

Dawson vs Diva? Maybe, but Dawson is young hungry boxer, I doubt Diva wants any of that, his specialty has been anyone 36 and older, at least where he is the younger man by 8 years.
