    BTW, guys - re. Calzaghe-Dawson

That's a fight I wanted after Calzaghe beat Hopkins and Roy, although I understand why Joe didn't stick around and take it, but last night cemented something in my mind - not just that Calzaghe would have beaten Dawson, but that he would have given him a boxing lesson...not an asskicking in the sense of Lacy-esque brutality, obviously, but rather a boxing clinic.

Dawson had problems with the awkwardness/movement/angles Pascal showed him...he would have had utter fits with even the 37 year old Joe.

    Just putting it out there.

This was never news to me. Calzaghe still looks bad for not fighting him though. Just like Hopkins does.

I dissagree. I got Dawson over Calzaghe. Not if he fights like that though.

He should be ashamed to lose to a fighter like Pascal. Dawson counter punching and his jab was non exisistent. So was speed.

If hes firing on all cylinders he makes Calzaghe look like a fool in the ring.

Just doubly confirmed it to me last night.

I always thought Calzaghe would beat Chad, and I wanted him to fight him and prove it, but last night told me Dawson wouldn't have given Joe as competetive a boxing match as I previously credited he could.

Calzaghes workrate gives Dawson a heart attack.

He overwhelms him with punches and wins a clear UD.

Calzaghe and Hopkins must be regretting not fighting Dawson now.

I've never seen a Dawson I thought would decisively beat even a 2008 Joe (which isn't that far past his best, but still)...not against Adamek, Tarver, Johnson...last night I *did* see a Dawson who would get owned by Joe.

No way could that guy live with the angles, movement, awkwardness and volume Calzaghe brings to the table, Burner.
