    American boxing is doomed!

All the good American top fighters in the sport like Hopkins, Mayweather, Mosley will be retiring soon. Now all the up and coming hyped fighters are all getting beat and not living up to the hype. Alexander should have lost, Dawson got beat up, Jacobs got knocked out and this is in the span of less than a month. There are no good American heavyweights and there will not be any forever it seems. Plus all the other bull**** in boxing makes it even worse. The future does not look good.

You do realize that Hopkins and Mosley lost and lost many times, right? Mayweather is a very rare fighter.

Ya'll worry too much about this shit. Just hope for the sake of boxing, AS A WHOLE, that we get to continue to watch great fights. Regardless of where the fuck the fighter is from.

HBO is doing what they did with Oscar, Floyd, Mosley etc. with the current generation. Taking them by the hand, feeding them soft touches and over the hill greats, until they have a star. That's the first stage. The second stage is pairing them up against another young star and putting it on PPV. It's win/win for HBO at that point, the winner is a superstar and so is the loser if they have a good showing. Unfortunately for them, this generation of young stars is getting knocked off during the 'soft touches/over the hill greats' stage.

I'm just saying that it is doomed for american fighters because what i already stated and because all the other good fighters are coming from other countries. I do not care where the fighters are from but boxing being a global sport where most people support thier countrymen, especially casual fans, that kills even more interest in american boxing.

spot on m8 thats exactly it . i personally love it when the so called superstars are ktfo or beat and sent back down to reality in an instant as boxing needs hungry fighters who want to go in that ring and put a beating on a man as if his life depended on it .

Lets be honest, Dawson losing is no great loss to 'American boxing'. He was never going to be a star, he had no fanbase and many of his fights have been less then exciting.

At least Pascal has fans and with the win he becomes a local star. That's good for boxing.

Come on guys, show Bradley some freakin Faith. Not only undefeated, but entertaining. Now Khan may beat him, but let's be honest, Khan couldn't do **** with Berto, while Bradley would give Berto hell. Bradley could beat Maidana, Ortiz, and Alexander. And as far as him losing to Khan, realistically, that remains to be seen. It's more of a toss up than anything
