Exactly, I wouldn't exactly call it exposed. Exposed should be used sparingly, but people like to throw the term out there that they use it every time a fighter loses his first fight. Granted, it can be used when a fighter DOES lose his first fight, but it has fit certain criteria:

a-) Undefeated fighter being touted as the next big thing
b-) Undefeated fighter taking on his first legitimate opponent (threat)

THEN THE FOLLOWING CRITERIA HAS TO BE MET:

a-) Is dramatically KO'D in the early rounds (1-4, maybe 5)
b-) Shows no heart when faced with true adversity
c-) If being boxed, shows no adaptability to assess the situation and bring the fight to his opponent
d-) Is shut-out or only wins on 2 scorecards separated by 4 or 5 rounds.

From the early going, Chad looked like he was going to be beat to the punch by Pascal all night. He wasn't shut-out, as Dawson did land terrific combinations that got no support from the crowd but certainly made Pascal take notice. Dawson got buzzed twice (I believe) and seriously hurt once, but he showed remarkable courage and heart as he kept walking forward and would take the fight to him. I think I speak for all Dawson fans when I say that we were all screaming at the TV screen when Pascal was on the ropes in that 11th round. Then we all shouted a collective "Dammit!" when that thick cut appeared.

This wasn't like Dirrell-Abraham, where the community was split between

a-) "Abraham had Dirrell running and was on his way to stopping him before the DQ"

        and

b-) "Dirrell was running, yes. But he was not hurt seriously before he slipped in the corner and ate that disqualifying uppercut"

It is beyond doubtful...Pascal was ready to be taken out. Dawson had to press the action more. He waited too long and paid for it.

Good fighters have off nights and even lose from time to time but that dont mean they have been exposed it just means they lost.

Fans, or more like nutthuggers are the ones getting exposed, they claim their fighter is the next SRR or Ali, overhype the **** outta him, which pisses off the fans who arent sold on him, and they begin to turn on the fighter due to his nuthugging fans and then when he loses the fighter is dubbed a hype job even tho he is still a good fighter, just not Ali or SRR!
