I could tell you this, the knowledgeable white boxing enthusiasts would probably be over 40 considering boxing was prominent with whites pre-1950. There's obvious exceptions, but boxing is now an inner-city sport and seems to majorly be Latino's filling gyms. Genetically, blacks are much bigger and athletic on average compared to whites and Latino's which allows them to fair better in sports that demand that sort of stature like Basketball and Football. While Boxing is a sport for all sizes, so boxing is a sport for Latino's. White's don't really populate inner cities often like in the old days, so exposure to boxing gyms doesn't come along to often. Most MMA gyms though are in suburban areas, so that's why you see whites so in-love with the sport because it's exposed to middle-class white people with money to throw. That's partially why MMA gyms are able to sucker people for $120-$200 monthly fee's on average as opposed to boxing's gyms $30-$100 monthly (obvious exceptions). Of course, I'm only giving insight of the Midwest states, could be different somewhere else, but definitely not here.
