Dawson appeared to be unable to cope with Pascal's angles and speed tonight.

After his very good win over Tomasz Adamek, Dawson fought two journeymen in 2007, the first being Jesus Ruiz. Then he fought twice in 2008, and twice in 2009 - those four fights were against two age 40 opponents.

I think the lack of talented, PRIME opposition since Adamek hurt Dawson's progress as a fighter. However, because he's still young and very talented, he will likely still do very well in the years to come, as long as he remains active and has the desire to win.

It was one lousy performance and who is to say those 40 year old fighters wouldn't beat Pascal because lets be honest, he is not an A level fighter.

I am sure that in a rematch Dawson will not be so passive and realize him just showing up won't win the fight and he will fight with some fire.
