The game plan should have been use the jab and make Pascal pressure him, then set up the uppercut. Pascal was running in with his head down over and over. I was sitting on my couch,LOL going crazy begging him to throw the uppercut. He finally did it in the 10 round and stopped Pascal in his tracks. That punch was there all night.

If he doubled the jab, step back, pivot and shot the uppercut, Pascal would have never heard the ten count.
I know alot of you are gonna say I don't know what im talking about but I do this everyday. I'm constantly learning more about this game through training my son. Once again the uppercut was the money punch for Dawson tonight. Maybe next time he'll use it.
The reason He lost in addition to what seems as a off night, was they over looked Pascal, period! The whole time Chad and his ppl were talking about Bute and Hopkins and what the guys of the super six were gonna do when the tourney was over. Chad still my Dog and I know he'll bounce back from this! losing that"0" maybe the best thing to happen to him

his strategy is never to just come in the KO the fighter. His strategy is to outbox his opponent which he didn't do

I guess Dawson had come to believe in his own hype so much he thought he could just come in there and put in a performance that is just enough for him not to lose. Bec. based on the first 8 rounds of the fight, he clearly did not come to win a fight. Instead, his genius fight plan consisted of trying to walk down Pascal a la Froch. Well, he may be faster and more skilled than the British slugger, but his counters were not always effective, and they came too few and far between. By the time he tried to do something to make the fight a real fight, only a KO could have won him the fight.

I like Dawson. He's an upstanding guy with great talent. But that was just too frigging late.
