Calzaghe Should Have Fought Dawson

Calzaghe made a mistake again though, Calzaghe should have fought Kelly Pavlik and Chad Dawson. Even though people would have said Calzaghe was overrated after beating them, atleast history wise he'd have more opponents on his resume. Calzaghe could slap a bear up for 12 rounds and still not get credit.

Calaghe is the best SMW in history. thats enough .

I always said this, but tonite just confirms what I already knew. Calzaghe would have beaten the living hell out Dawson for 12 rounds, maybe even have taken him out late. Of course, the 'slick American' fans would say that Dawson was overrated and that Calzaghe retired to duck Ward. However, it would have been nice to have seen it.

I stated this earlier...as an American, I loved Calzaghe. I thought and still think he would have beaten ALL LHW's and SMW's given any location and time. No doubts at all, he would crush them all...maybe a close fight here and there but he would not lose..I'd bet all my REAL money on that...dude was no joke, regardless of his style. people laugh at his style, yet he retired undefeated and would have continued to fight on undefeated........

losing once doesn't necessarily mean you are an over hyped bum unless you are in fact an over hyped bum like lacy. lacy hadn't beaten anyone of note before calzaghe and lost almost all his fights after calzaghe. dawson has already built a resume that proves he is not just hype and i'm sure he will have much more success in the future. hell calzaghe lost to robin reid but got a gift decision when he was in his prime and still came back to take over the division.
