Word is the Dawson refuse to shake Pascals hand

You can tell that Dawson was upset, so it doesn't surprise me. When a fighter tastes his first defeat it will never sit well but in this case it was a close fight that for the most part was that way due to Dawson not doing much in the fight. Chad probably is upset with himself and feels he is the better man so that just makes it even worse on himself, dude won't be able to sleep at night. Either way for some reason in boxing sportsmanship doesn't mean much to me. It means a lot to me in other sports but in boxing it just doesn't.

There is no excuse for that, maybe you don't care about it, but i have trained with many pros and even after a tough war, fighters will show some respect.

Good. They should start some bad blood for the next fight. Chad should start being Bad now. Good start by not shaking hands with Pascal although Pascal deserved it for his good performance.

I didn't like how it was a rap filled with mfer and "**** in the dirt" and other ridiculous lyrics, while he had his little kid escorting him into the ring. Was that why his kid had ear plugs in??? If so, that is extremely lame, just change the ****ing song to one without vulgar lyrics.

I also didn't like how he stood there dancing, with his son just standing there looking confused (and probably deafened by the ear plugs), instead of him making his way towards the ring. I am not one of those people who wants to see the fighters stand there and dance while a song plays. Play the song and make your way to the ring...

He should have showed a lack of respect in the ring rather than outside of it. He fought like a little pu ssy in there not wanting to hold his ground, and shaking his shoulder after eating combos and suh.

This fight was odd. I had Pascal winning 106-103 when it was stopped like I'm sure many people did, but Dawson showed that he had outclassed Pascal numerous times during the fight. If Dawson would decide to throw more and follow up the flurries that clearly hurt Pacal he would win easily, and quite possibly knock him out. Pascal did land some good shots and clearly won the fight but he didn't really impress me. It seemed more to me that Dawson lost more than Pascal won, and I very rarely say or think that.

I really hope that this fight will change the way Dawson approaches fights. I'm not sure it's clear, but I believe he could knock quite a few more guys out if he tried to, and I think he would have at least knocked Pascal down in rounds 11 or 12 if it hadn't been stopped. He's got the talent to have a decent fanbase in the sport.

The post-fight interview? It bothered me but you can't overreact to it. He wasn't thinking straight and said things I believe he will regret. No one was sitting ringside or at home thinking to themselves "Bad Chad really needs to let Merchant know he was getting headbutted all night and that he didn't complain to the ref about it". Just say you wish it hadn't been stopped by the cut, you think you could have stopped him, you think he won the fight, you hope the re-match can be made immediately, shake hands and move on.

Pascal and Bute would be a very fan friendly fight and I hope it gets made. Neither fighter would really lose career-wise in my opinion and it would be an all out war.
