This was the first time I have seen Chad Dawson in with a fighter of any caliber that had the mobility and such to not just stand there and let Dawson fire off his stiff jab-jab-left combo that he likes to throw and it seemed to screw him up. Usually the old farts Dawson fights just stand there and let him throw 3 punches, do that arm flex loosening thing that he does, and then go back to work. Pascal didnt just stand there for him to hit...that being said, I think there was a 33-50% chance Dawson would have stopped him in the remainder of the 11th or 12th had the headbutt not occurred. All he had to do was step on the pedal on a few occassions in the fight and he coulda KO'd Pascal, i'm pretty sure. Whenever he hit him solid he had him ready to go it seemed.

True, but Pascal's got the heart of a Lion. It looked like he was gonna get stopped late in his fight against Froch, and early on in his rematch with Diancu, but he finds a way to survive.

I wanna see him work up his cardio, imagine a Pascal that can stay active for the whole 12 rounds...

i kind of wish chad would have been hit harder to realize that his big strength and he needs to do exactly what he did against glen johnson and outwork guys like this. I actually thiing that pascal did not fight his best fight. Dawson lost to an out of shape boxer because he got too confident with his talent. You wanna be the top dog you got to have the bigger balls in the division. Honestly I cant believe im saying this but after these last two weeks cloud looks to be the top dog at light heavy, that the fight chad needs to get to rebound and get that same hunger he once had even in the days where he would get caught i hope he learned a valuable lesson because imo he is clearly the most talented fighter at 175. C'Mon chad !!!!!

Cloud isnt really elusive or clever but he is explosive and has good stamina.
I would love to see Dawson vs Cloud next but I doubt Dawson would want that fight. Would be a great fight Id look for Cloud to go after Dawson early and land many bombs, as Daswon showed tonight he doesnt fight well backing up.

I just now figured out Pascal doesn't have to fight Dawson next. And you know damn well that Bute isn't gonna waist his time with Chad. So this fight has to happen next if HBO lays their foot down with Dawson.

Bute should fight Pascal next, and Dawson should fight Cloud. Winners can fight each other of those two matches, losers can probably fight each other to get back in the picture.
