    Rematch

Dawson vs Pascal should be fought again. Even though i think Pascal clearly won the fight I think this fight warrants a rematch and i would favor Dawson by stoppage.

Dawson just said that he had no shoulder injury but i clearly heard him say that his shoulder was bothering him in between rounds right before hbo cut away from the corner. He also didnt do himself any favors by his excuse making in the post fight interview. With all that being said i think he stops Pascal in the late rounds if they fight again.

no there should be no rematch. dawson got dominated and owned. the score cards would have ended at about 116-110 or whatnot, about 9 rounds to 3 or 8 to 4 for all of them. He was utterly dominated and just about destroyed. He needs to work his way back up with more 45 year olds he obviously can't beat any prime hungry fighters

I agree with you on the rematch. I heard Dawson say in-between rounds that he felt heavy and that he hydrated too much. But still all credit to Pascal. Dawson just didnt let his hands go the first half.

Dominated and owned come on man you cant be serious he clearly lost and was outworked but with the way Pascal looked late i think that last round and a half could have gotten interesting and i wouldnt have been shocked if Pascal was knocked out.

Get real about what Pascal wasnt gasping for air and getting smacked around in the 11th? I could care less about Dawson but i think he wins by stoppage in the rematch if he lets his hands go.

I was rooting for Dawson to lose this fight, but it seems like I got a new found respect for him a little bit even though it baffles me to why he fights as timidly as he does and doesn't put the mustard on his punches that he's capable of doing. He had the kind of cut that guys like Pavlik tried to quit with and he wanted to go out and kick some ass in the last round. I don't know why everybody is giving him such a hard time.

I just got tired of people saying Dawson is the second coming of Jesus Christ when there are a lot of fighters in and around 175 I think would beat him. And I'll list them. Adamek in the rematch regardless of weight, Cunningham, Ward, maybe Froch I don't know, Abraham maybe, Ward, definitely Cloud, and maybe Hopkins too if he puts up a good performance. Dawson's style is all wrong for Johnson. Just putting things in perspective with the hope of bringing the Dawson fan boys back down to earth.

pascal wont give dawson a rematch. why would he?
pascal will fight bute and get completely dismantled, while dawson goes back to purgatory fighting for peanuts. he has no belt. he has nothing. too much of a risk for the other belt holders to face.
unless HBO still wants to put on a cloud/dawson fight in front of an empty house, this is the worse case scenario for chad. what an ass. he has virtually no margin for error being such an unexciting, unmarketable fighter.
                  he screwed himself.

i expect pascal to move on....and he should.
