its probably a good thing for chad that b hop didnt fight him a few years ago

bhop is phenomenal with ring generalship, controlling distance, avoiding confrontations

    and scoring to win rounds..

pascal has 1/1000th the boxing iq of bhop,

chad should be happy he wasnt exposed years ago..

sad to see such a talented guy be his own worst enemy.

perhaps a better trainer, or let his hands freakin go

This loss will help Chad more than a victory would have... He needed a wake up call and a bucket of cold water splashed on him. He throws way too little punches and often gets too comfortable in the ring. What he was looking for in the 11th is what he should always look like when he fights. He needs to come into the ring with more intensity. He always comes in all calm and relaxed but never comes out of his shell... Fighting these old men for 4 straight fights might have confused him into thinking that he is always going to be the fresher fighter. Chad will be back and will hopefully be prepared after learning this "lesson".. Maybe he will comeback with BAD intentions.. Tonight was a wake up call to ALL champions... Defend your belt and never underestimate an opponent.

His post-fight interviews showed what a poor sport Chad is and he has nobody to blame for this loss but himself. You've got to be aggressive more than just a few times during a fight to win a fight. I think any time Chad faces a fighter with more power than he has he's going to have some problems just like he will against fighters who are very aggressive. I don't know that Cloud at this point in his career will be him but I'll be rooting for him should that fight ever get made. A closing note I think Lucian Bute will destroy both of these guys!
Dawson is almost always at a pwer disadvantage at LHW and he was still undefeted until tonight ie: vs. Glen Johnson,Tarver, Adamek etc. That was not y he lost, he lost because he wouldn't throw his hands. He seemed more interested in showing Pascal that he will not be ko"d than trying to KO Pascal, or even punch him for that matter

Pascal was ****in Chad. Dawson needed 2 step up the work rate in the middle rounds. Its his own fought he lost. He shouldn't have put himself behind so many points. He put himself in a tough spot. He needed a knockout. I willl say this, he had Pascal out on his feet in the 11th round. I wish the fight wouldn't have been stopped. Chad could have probably ko'd him. Oh well, Pascal is the new Champ. Gd ****. Holla at my son Cloud next. Pascal would get knockedout.

I'm okay with the decision of stopping the fight because when a fighter doesn't throw like Dawson he deserves to be KO'd , this is why i want to see Pacquiao vs Mayweather! Pascal was very tired through out the fight and was ready to go a **** load of times and Dawson did not take advantage therefore he deserves to lose this way!

**** these type of fighters that dont throw back when being pressured like Mayweather , Dawson , and Alexander!
First of all Dawson wasn't KO'd, so what the hell are you talking about?? Secondly, Mayweather counter punches when being pressured so how is that not throwing back??? What did this fight, stylistically, have in common with a potential Mayweather/Pacquiao fight??? Absolutely nothing, so why does this make you wanna see that fight???

              lets hope,

his mindset from the beginning was wrong, he said in the interview he fights his fight.

against a flurry style and a hometown crowd in another country you need to be convincing.

he should have known better, his trainer should have known better.

he coulda got pascal out of there in 3 rounds if he fought the fight like he did in the 11th

Good fight by Pascal and he was winning most of the rounds. The 11th was the first clear round dominated by Chad and he seemed to have Pascal buzzed but the headbutt happened so we'll never know. I didn't see why the commentators kept saying Pascal was so tired... he seemed to be playing possum to get Chad to open up. I think Pascal even said something to that effect in the post fight interview. Looking forward to the rematch and if Chad doesn't throw more next time, it will be a repeat of tonight.

Chad was killin him in the 11th. His fault though, dumb as heck waiting until the end to start actually fighting. I wanted to turn this fight off so many times. What a crappy performance from Chad.
i have to agree rip. as a huge bad chad fan i scored most rounds for jean. i dont think jean is a better fighter than chad. but on this night one fighter wanted it more than the other. in a champiobnship fight with the winner getting a big money fight with bute, chad should have came out to win from the first bell. he did look gun shy. something was not right with chad tonight. not making an excuse for his performance. but just stating the obvious. congrates to jean pascal. he fought the fight of his career and won when only he and a few canadians thought he would win.

Yeah bad comparison by this guy. 168-175 is where its at right now forget some of these manufactured fighters in the lower weight divisions. How bout Cloud knocks out beibut and takes on the winner of the pascal bute dawson trio which looks like is gonna go down so we can get an undisputed champion with so much talent that could come up from 168 this could be fun for years.
