This is not the fight Dawson is used to being in. He's being forced to throw much more punches than he likes to in order to score more than Pascal is. He's getting bullied.

Dawson started using his jab better last round but Pascal still did more. Dawson is being too passive and he might not be used to fighting as the aggressor, he's a natural counterpuncher/boxer so this might be something new for him, having to walk down an opponent.
