With old age has Don King come to have grown a conscience?

Looking back during the 80s and 90s Don was always involved in some sort of dispute or lawsuit against one of his fighters. Within the last 10 years or so you really haven't heard much of fighters publiclly being bitter over financial matters towards big Don. Has he chilled out with old age and maybe feel bad about past fighters he's possibly screwed over and left for dead in the gutter? What do you guys think?

I made a comment about this recently and it seems he hasnt. I mean he's been shady the last few years it seems and he was past mid 70s then so it may never stop. Has Arum stopped? I dont think so.

People do change in their 70s and 80s man. I remember my Grampa was a mean person but in his old age he got religion cuz he thinks he could repent or whatever.

I like what P4P had to say on this: "Greed is always prime". The man has found slicker ways to get his.

I don't think people like King and Arum ever grow a conscience, or ever think in anything other than profit terms. They might be touching 80 and have more money than they need but they're not interested in redemption or changing their ways.

I mean, we hear about how Top Rank are gonna bring boxing back to the masses and revolutionise things when Arum's step-son takes over the Company when Bob dies. But it makes you think; well, why not now? Why doesn't Arum want to leave a legacy of helping the sport come out of its current marginalised status, instead of just shafting us all with these pitiful in-house fights? How about less of the short-term thinking and profits, and more long-term thinking, and how to get this amazing sport back into the public conscienceness?

People like Arum and King will never change. Never.

I don't think he's grown a conscience. I think most boxers started to see more and more who he truly was thus him losing big name fighters. He can't scam the few fighters he has now because that's all he has...
