On Dawson: I swear here & now........

I've never been one of those fans that hates for the purpose of hating but I won't lie to you all I am not 100% convinced about Chad Dawson hence why I've not taken to him as well as I should given the respect he's given by the boxing community.

That said here and now I want to state that if Dawson does the business against Pascal I will become a true believer in him. I like the guys' mannerism, he's respectful, chases the good fights but something is missing in him to me.

To me he is a quick, powerful guy with amazing technique but he lacks that 'something' which makes a great fighter special. I've always maintained that a slippery guy who can slip punches coming in, is fast & can feign his own shots well for setup with unorthodox angles (like Calzaghe) would beat Chad. Not expose him (because he is that good) just beat him and reveal his technical flaws - *NOT* show poor he is - there is a difference.

For that reason I cannot discount Pascal. Not that Pascal is a Calzaghe - far from it. But I just need to see Chad do the business against a real live young aggressive skilled fighter like Pascal before I become a believer.

I am not a hater, I'm a boxing fan and the best man will win but that said I am only human and I have a preferred boxer who I'd like to win so:

I will rewatch Adamek vs Dawson but I didn't see anything special from Dawson there. I think Adamek is as good or better than Pascal but Pascal's style of fighting is less orthodox and more like the kind I want to see dawson face before final judgement hence why I made this post

This is so true! Dawson has been in there with some really good fighters. And even tho he does get dropped once in a while, usually its when He's in control so I would credit those knockdowns to boredom or concentration lapses.This should be a good fight and hopefully we get a rivalry out of it but I see Dawson taking Pascal apart en route to a late tko
