I think Bradley will beat Alexander in a tough fight. One thing I noticed is that Devon will throw 1000 punches but most will miss and come up just short. Devon refuses to step into his punches. Bradley, however, will throw 1000 punches and more will land. Neither one has one punch KO power (the Urango KO was a fluke) and if Devon won't step into his punches, he will eat counters all night. I think it's a good, close fight but the experience that Bradley has will pull himself through...

Also, I see alot of people are mad at Bradley for talking smack after the fight. But before the fight, Devon kept trashing Bradley saying all kinds of crap, so now that Devon looked ****ty, the shoes on the other foot. Nothing wrong with that, this fight is going to be a big fight (and it's going to be free on HBO and not on Pay-Per-****)....

Ok, this is what I got from Mr. Tim Bradley. "I was afraid of him before. (Him being Alexander.) Now that I see that I can hit him with my right hand all night long. I'm ready to fight him now." That's a punk move. Now you want to fight him when he showed weakness? What happened to "it's not a big fight yet" because it's te same fight at the beginning of 2010 as it is in 2011 I don't think you have anymore fans at the beginning of the year than you do now. Just say you weren't ready for Alexander, and stop talking about other fighters until you sign the contracts.

You see... this is where **** gets lost in translation sometimes. The fight was already being discussed for the day before the Super Bowl before the Kotelnik fight.

There's plenty of articles saying that the camps initiated negotiations with HBO before the Kotelnik fight.

And it's Cunningham doing 80% of the **** talking, so if you want to be mad at somebody for talking before signing a contract it should be him.


I expect an absolute war in this fight and it's still a tossup. Bradley has a way of losing rounds in the judges eyes, without actually losing them. His shots must look as if they have little steam on them in person because I've seen numerous people score the Abregu and Peterson fights closer than they were. Alexander might have worse defense, but he looks as if he won a round. Tough fight for both men.

Bradley will probably decapitate Devon, IMO Devon has skills but he's not ready for that fight and this could be a bad career decision. He might never be the same after that fight...

You haven't been keeping up. Bradley said immediately after he beat Abregu that he wanted to fight Alexander next, and negotiations between Bradley and Alexander for the January date started before the Kotelnik fight.

No, because Khan is rated #2 and Devon is rated #3, following his poor performance against Kotelnik.

Honestly, I can't see Devon making the changes necessary without changing to a top notch trainer. But, how do you nix the trainer who brought you up to where you are now and has been a role model for you? And then you dump him when you start making it to the top??? Comes off cold. Even if he went with a new trainer I would think the guilt of firing the trainer that helped change his life would still distract him. The only way I see it being positive for Devon is if Kevin steps down on his own for the betterment of his fighter. Most trainers have too much pride though, and Devon is just now coming in to the possible big time. Yea, like I said - between a rock and a hard place for Devon in that situation.
If the Bradley/Alexander fight doesn't happen now the only fight I want to see with Alexander at this time is a rematch with Kotelnik. Hell, I wouldn't even mind seeing Bradley/Kotelnik if TB/DA fight doesn't happen next.

Very insightful post. Some fighters have enough ring intelligence to learn from their mistakes, and improve their style as a result, without any help from their trainers though (e.g. Barrera, Calzaghe, Roy Jones); whereas some others with plenty of natural talent would never have achieved anywhere near as much as they did if it weren't for having a great trainer (Lennox Lewis, Wlad Klitschko, Ken Norton, Pacquiao, Khan). We'll soon find out which category Alexander falls into, I guess.

Bulls**t. Bradley called Devon out on March 8th, two days after Devon KO'ed Urango. Name one time Bradley said he wouldn't fight Devon. All he said was he wants the right amount of money because its #1 vs #2, and 3 belts are on the line. That sounds reasonable, doesn't it? And they've been negotiating since late July, which was two weeks before the Kotelnik fight.

Styles make fights and Tim doesn't have the reach or height that the Russian has.Devon will be able to reach him. But, I still think Bradley will beat him. It'll be a superb fight early, but Tim is much more seasoned and will break Devon down.

Bradley is a heck of alot more accurate.. Devon doesnt land alot.. Bradley does.. Bradley wins a UD
