I read an article once on Marvin Hagler after losing a controversial decision like Hopkins'. Hagler said "he would never let the fight be in the hands of the judges and would go for the knockout in all his future fights." If Hopkins wanted to seal his legacy and beat the upcoming star in Taylor, he should've pressed for the knockout so that there would be no questions asked after the result.

        Please.

Even if he believes he was robbed, shouldn't that give you more incentive to go out and prove it in the rematch instead of crying about it still, days after the fight?

I told you this loss was gonna eat at him mentally. He got too accustomed to winning, to the point where he thought he could coast to the decision. Now he doesn't know how to react.

I think it's all just so that he can get a rematch by the end of the year. They exercised the rematch clause but that doesn't mean that the Taylor camp can't put it off until next year. If they wanted to the Taylor camp could just say that they won't fight again until next year.

Yeah, giving the fight 116-112 to Nard is ridiculous…

IMO, it's more money for Hopkins. I mean, he gets a sure multi-million dollar purse with Taylor again! If he had won last Saturday, no way Hopkins would give Taylor another chance. No way.

Okay, I'll end my consipiracy theory here. Thanks.

Embarrassing move for Hopkins if you ask me. Take it like a man, whether you think you won or lose. There probably are countless fighters who've lost decisions when they're sure they've won the fight, and guess what, they ****** it up and moved on. Very disappointed with BHop, I'm sure this ****** move will tarnish his legacy.

For the boxing gurus here, i got a question. In the history of boxing, was there ever a fight that was overturned after an appeal by the losing fighter?

whats everyne talking about, if anything, take a look at that ref that scored it 116-112 for hopkins.

if THAT ref had been watching the fight, taylor wins it easy either way.

quote from hopkins before the fight: "I want no excuses when Bernard Hopkins makes Jermaine Taylor look amateurish"...

what happened bernard? taylor DIDNT look amateurish, and YOU'RE putting excuses. get over it.
