Floyd left top rank to get at De la Hoya, Margarito was just a guy that he could have fought had he stayed. Top Rank and Golden Boy didn't start talking until much later on it is pretty clear why Floyd left.
I also don't think Floyd needs to leave GBP to avoid Manny, I am sure GBP would still work with him.Comment

The ducking accusations are left and right from the US media. How in hell are you going to defend this?
How? Be man enough to admit the accusations were foolish. Give up these testing *** only fools care about. Then negotiate in terms of leaving your opponent with some sense of dignity. Finally, fight.
There's no shame in that. People would salute him by merely doing that.Comment

its typical of floyd that he wanted to fight cotto when he was a relative newcomer with only a couple wbo title defenses. but when cotto became a huge star and one of the best fighters in boxing not to mention a real threat to floyd's flimsy undefeated record he fake retired.
let's also not forget when floyd "calls out" someone that amounts to diddly squat. he called out pac then did everything in his power not to fight him. now we can never know if he was serious about fighting the people he called out because he has no credibility. he thinks he's in the wwe or something.Last edited by daggum; 08-13-2010, 10:23 PM.Comment
