Is Carl Froch hype?

He has two good wins over Jean Pascal and Jermain Taylor. No matter how you twist it he did beat Taylor, it doesn't mean **** if he was behind on the cards he still knocked Taylor the **** out.... He did get a hometown decision against Dirrell though, so I don't count that as a win.

So no Carl Froch is not hype, nobody is hyping him. If anything he is underrated, he never really get the credit he deserves. He fights the best and always put up a good fight even when he loses such as against Kessler. Offcourse Froch is not a great fighter but he is a very good fighter.

No i think Froch is a hard man to beat - great chin, big balls, lots of heart, very determined but patient, big power puncher, awkward, physically strong and fit

Thats the good stuff and its taken him this far, he has some good wins!

The bad? He is slow and not the most elusive, can telegraph his shots, has poor footwork, carrys his hands way too low and even when they are up he has a terrible habbit of pulling his right hand back away from his chin as he jabs

I don't think thats how AA can ever fight, I think he likes wearing opponents down and taking them out late.

He's blasted some guys out early or at least won runs but as the competition rose he's altered his plan somewhat.

But guys he has Taylor as a W but had Taylor been in prime condition and not on a downslide it would have been even worse and not to mention the fact that he was losing that fight up until the last round says he isn't as great as people are making it out also i think he lost to Direll, i ain't a hater but i also don't see the fuss, the only thing i actually dislike about him is the fact he talks **** about Calzaghe, Khan and anyone else thats his way out putting his name out there. I think he is going to get Knocked down and lose vs Abraham.

His heart and determination alone is worldclass. He isn't the most gifted fighter, but he is a tough monkey and will give anyone trouble. I think he is a scary opponent for almost everyone. He can get hit time and time again and still fight like nothing has happened.

He is one of my absolute favourite fighters, I love it when he talks smack and I love how he fights. Every fight I've seen with him has been exciting.

I have rarely read where people have overhyped him.

I agree with vanillacoke in that most of the time, people underate him.

Many people on here talk **** about Froch, and he's in the fight with everyone.
If he was overhyped he wouldn't have had all these close fights with quality opposition.

Nobody is saying that Froch is a great fighter or anything, Froch is not even a household name in the UK, explain to me in what way Froch is hyped? He is a good decent fighter with a decent record and that's all people are saying really...

Lately it seems like Abraham only fights in the championship rounds after taking the first 6 or so off.

Perhaps he will start faster against Froch.

He says he will start faster. He has said that was one of the lessons he learned from the Dirrell fight. Question is: Can he? He has been fighting the same way all through his career.

LOADS of people say that? I have seen a few people say that... and by a few I mean like 4 people. Just because a few people said he was gonna win the super 6 doesn't mean he is overhyped. If you say loads of people then you are just making stuff up, hell even most Brits on this board have said he has no chance of winning the super 6.... even after the Dirrell fight alot of Brits said that he lost... and now alot of Brits are saying he is gonna lose against Abraham. If Carl Froch was hyped then the MAJORITY of people on this board would go on about how great he is and how he's gonna win the super 6 and stuff like that... but VERY FEW people are actually saying that so Froch is not hyped, simple as that.
