Chavez Jr Vs Cotto WILL BE COMPETETIVE!!!

majority of the posts im read in is chavez jr gets killed this cotto KO's him out cold that, but IMO this will be a close fight and ima go with my gut and say Jr will tko Cotto late, plus Im sure roach will give Jr some good tips and will train well. My breakdown is Cotto starts strong as usual winning majority of the first half of the fight, (JR has a great chin he wont be stopped imo). Midway Cotto gasses like ussual and chavez takes over and goes to the body and head to the TKO, maybe a desision which i also see Chavez winning if it takes place in Texas. This is my view feel free to express yours(No TROLLING OR FLAMING). Poll commin up
    56
    Chavez Jr By KO/TKO
    14.29%
    8
    Chavez Jr By UD/SD
    5.36%
    3
    Cotto By KO/TKO
    64.29%
    36
    Cotto By UD/SD
    16.07%
    9

    The poll is expired.

    You may be right.
Jr is 6'0" tall and has fought at 150 and above since 2007 and has Koed 30 of his 40 fights.

This is not a cake walk for Cotto or Chavez.

Its a toss up for me
Not to mention the Psychological damage that Concrete Cheato did to Cotto.

yea it ill be tough for both, i see this as an exact replica of Margarito Vs Cotto except without the plaster.

no way, Cottos Left Hook aint even half a good as it was Trinidad's, and tbh that Trinidad Left hook is suspect as of the Hopkins Fight, but i do see cotto landing some low blows if that what you mean, "Vargas Style".

Trinidad had power (PERIOD). Cotto is a better boxer and thats what makes this fight a bit interesting.
As far as "suspect" extra tape or gauze is not the same a plaster slabs.
Margarito is tainted for life, most people dont even know of the Trinidad gauze and tape thing like most dont know about the "twisting" of tape incident from Oscar De La Hoya. They were great and will be remember as that.

maybe but we all know the result, the more experienced cotto should prevail.

i agree it may be a toss up but even though chavez is tall he doesnt fight tall or use his jab. if cotto can get close hes gonna land that left hook to the body all night

lol, Trinidad vs Vargas was one of the most exciting, high level 154lb matchups in a long time. I dont remember a 154lb fight as good as that since then.

I will be THRILLED if Jr. vs Cotto ends up even close to as good as Vargas-Trinidad.

I dont get why people dislike this fight. Both of them have exciting styles, and Jr has shown improvement recently and may grow even more before the Cotto fight.
worse case scenario: Cotto will KO Jr. Who doesnt like seeing good KOs?
